Psilocybin Medicine Journeys
Psilocybin medicine has been used for centuries in Ceremony for healing. Modern research corroborates what the original stewards of this medicine already know: that Psilocybin can be beneficial for supporting the healing process of certain conditions including depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. This is possible because Psilocybin helps open new neural pathways in the brain, allowing us to see, transform, and move through held trauma, dysfunctional coping strategies, and patterns that no longer serve us.
The Psilocybin experience can be subtle, enjoyable, challenging, difficult, and/or profound. We sometimes say that the medicine often gives us what we are emotionally and spiritually able to receive in the moment, and no more or less. The experience itself is only a temporary expansion of consciousness, and with guided integration and personal work to process and understand the experience, one can make transformative changes in one’s life that can last far beyond the medicine session itself.
